Whether we in Charlottesville explore the arts through the actors on a stage, the lens or line of a brushstroke, or the raising of voices in song, cvilleMUSE is here to promote, connect, and celebrate the artists and audiences of our community.
This is your place to discover new music, to find out about the performers and performances in our area, and to share your thoughts and opinions on what’s happening in and around Charlottesville. And if we happen to have a little fun along the way, we’ll consider it icing on the cake.
cVillain.com is about Charlottesville (C-Ville for short). We love this town and can’t get enough of its restaurants, cafes, music, shops, and, importantly, gossip. When we sat down to brainstorm ideas for cVillain, we decided we didn’t want to make this into just another website. We also quickly decided that we didn’t know everything about Charlottesville.
Our idea was pretty simple: Let’s make a site that people will enjoy because they are in control. We wanted to create a place where, instead of reading about local happenings, our community could define, discuss and create the local “scene.”
Ok, we know what you are thinking. What if someone says something bad!?
We have a fantastic team of people who ensure that bad stuff doesn’t get published on this site. We hate making rules, but personal attacks and unfounded claims aren’t allowed.
Besides that, this site is yours, not ours. We always want to make cVillain a better and more exciting place. Our special thanks go out to our readers, contributors, commenters and admins. We love you all.
